He's Floyd Lawton, and he's an assassin who 'never misses.' He usually uses wrist-mounted guns, and his mask has a cool targeting thing over his eye. At the start of the film, his brief exchange with Harley Quinn establishes their relationship from the get-go as both were involved in the events of Ayer's Suicide Squad.

Of course I'm betting he's only called Captain Boomerang in a demeaning way by the other members of the team and then they get some kind of respect for him at the end of the movie when he does something really badass with his boomerangs.Ĭourtney is being court(ney)ed to play Deadshot, a Batman villain who I believe is more notable for looking cool than for having any particularly great stories in his canon. Captain Boomerang's involvement in The Suicide Squad was to service other characters and the story more than to develop his arc. I have to admit that I am absolutely shocked that Captain Boomerang is in this movie - I mean, he's been an integral part of the Suicide Squad in many iterations, but I simply didn't see a character this silly making it into the super serious DC Movieverse.
